When a television and/or radio programme or an Internet page shows or promotes in an excessive or exaggerated manner products, (trade) names, logos, etc... owned by a third party, such as a sponsor, this may constitute a violation of the Media law. It could lead to the imposition of high fines by the Dutch Media Authority. Such fines are imposed on the Broadcasting Company in question, which may in turn desire to recover the amount of the fines from the television producers and/or other contracting parties.
The Content Prescan (CPS) is a new service offered by ABC Legal to content providers in general and, of course, in particular, to television producers and broadcasting companies in the Netherlands.
Do you want to have prior certainty that a television programme complies with media legislation?
CPS is the means by which ABC Legal can make all your programmes or programme items media legislation proof!
The lawyers at ABC Legal are trained to screen content and to advise you on what to do in the event that the programme material is not (yet) media legislation proof.
How does it work?
You first make an appointment to bring along the programmes or items in question.
Then, during a brief intake session, a period of time is agreed during which the fragment or the tape is watched. After screening the picture material in question, we will advise you over the telephone or in person. It goes without saying that an "on the spot" screening can also be arranged, if you prefer.
For further information on the service and the fees charged without further obligation or if you would like to make an appointment, please contact:
